NatLaw is pleased to announce that in late January 2013, NatLaw Legal Intern and current U of A College of Law student Brad Terry and his team members traveled to the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law to compete in the Inaugural Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Negotiation Competition. Competing against 11 other schools, Brad and his team from U of A participated in two rounds of in-person negotiations and were chosen by judges as the winners. The negotiations involved the solution of a hypothetical bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring between a financially distressed California winery and an unofficial committee of its unsecured creditors. Brad has been a legal intern at NatLaw since summer 2012 and we congratulate him on this amazing accomplishment.

A more detailed account of the competition is available from the U of A Law School here.
