NatLaw Co-Hosts Capacity Building Session in Costa Rica

The Presidential Council of Competitiveness and Innovation of Costa Rica (Consejo Presidencial de Competitividad e Innovación), the Costa Rican Central Bank (Banco Central de Costa Rica) and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce of Costa Rica (Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Comercio) co-hosted NatLaw’s two-day capacity building session on the recently enacted Costa Rican secured transactions law. The capacity building session covered aspects such as banking supervision and best banking practices from a secured transactions perspective as well as practical legal implications of the new law. The session was led by Mr. Walter Cook, who has more than 30 years of banking, lending, and executive management experience, Mr. Avery Belka, Assistant General Counsel, Legal Division Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Dr. Boris Kozolchyk, NatLaw’s Executive Director and Mr. Adalberto Elias, Research Attorney at NatLaw.
