Thomas Johnson is a U.S. and Russia trained lawyer. A 2017 graduate of the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law J.D. program, he also holds a Master of Law degree in International Trade and Finance Law (2015) from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Russian & East European Studies from the University of Oregon in 2010. Prior to joining NatLaw, Thomas worked with Aeroflot – Russian Airlines as a contract officer, reviewing legal documentation for the marketing and legal department. He also interned at a commercial law firm in Moscow, Russia, where he researched Russian and foreign private law, especially on sale of goods and commercial arbitration. Thomas is proficient in Russian civil law, particularly as it relates to international commercial transactions and is highly interested in U.S. business law, including the Uniform Commercial Code (“UCC”) articles dealing with contracts for the sale of goods and secured transactions. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, and soccer. He is fluent in English and Russian.
