NatLaw and NCJ will foster digitalization of legal processes through artificial intelligence
Kozolchyk National Law Center (NatLaw) is honored to host three members of the Ecuadorian National Court of Justice (NCJ) in Tucson, Arizona from May 19-22, 2023. As part of their visit, NCJ and NatLaw will sign an Institutional Collaboration Agreement that will enable the full digitization of NCJ's case law and assist lower courts in identifying and applying NCJ's mandatory case law.
The agreement is part of NatLaw's support for digitizing legal procedures for Latin American and Caribbean courts. NatLaw is currently providing technical assistance for the pioneering implementation of Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) technology in cases of divorce, child support, and alimony to improve women's access to effective justice in Ecuador. The
new technical assistance is intended to use artificial intelligence to identify binding case law generated by the NCJ. Finally, NCJ Chairman Ivan Saquicela and justices Alejandro Arteaga and Ivan Larco will also visit the University of Arizona Office of International Education, to explore future cooperation opportunities.
